About Me

Since, 1994, I have a massage therapist with a background in Kinesiotherapy. I have been a member of AMTA and Nationally Certified in massage for 30 years.  I received my degree in Kinesiotherapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997.  Kinesiotherapy is the study of muscles and the application of exercise to benefit wellness. Another focus on Kinesiotherapy is education of  "what's best for our muscles". Massage has been a big partner in optimal muscle health..

I have enjoyed working as a massage therapist in many areas.  Besides working with clients with sports injuries, backaches and stress I have also worked with a quadriplegic client for 10 years. I am located on the far south side of Chicago right off the Chicago Skyway near the Indiana border.  I also see a limited amount of clients at Lake Shore East at the downtown Chicago complex with Massage 1.
Besides being influenced by my favorite nutritionist  Joe  Buishas for the last 20 years I have had the  blessings of regularly being able to jog/walk/bike for the last 40 years.  I have focused now on bicycling and yoga.

Nutritional  needs of my own and the understanding of what impact it has on you muscles has lead me to be a better Massage Therapist.  I am not a nutritionist and do not sell vitamins. Do check Joe's web site and hear an example of how swelling can be helped naturally from a possible injury or arthritis or serious inflammation problems.     http.www.tuesdayminute.net/intenzymeforte.html  I have been successful with using this for myself along with my own massage to keep myself in good muscle shape.   Another plus can be to incorporate stretching to your routine. I follow the principal of two kinsiotherapist. Aaron Mates with his AIS method www.stretchingusa.com/aboutAIS.cfm and also Brian Dorfman's stretching with incorporates yoga.
